Ok, I hope you had enjoyed the "Chilean Movie Day", and I'll be waiting for your comments if you have, of course. I have to tell you that thanks to the information that my dear friend "Carlita", I can inform you about a very nice and interesting Panorama:

Chilean movies’ posters: A very interesting and innovated exposition was presented to people last Thursday 23rd. This is located in Constitucion’s square and it is free for everybody who wants to know more about our seventh art. This exposition is called “Flashback: Chilean movies’ posters”, and it exhibits many promotional posters of the Chilean movies that were produced between 1925 and 2008. These posters are digital photos with a special treatment because some of them are deteriorated as the oldest ones. Well, you can see posters’ design and context that these posters convey us in order to remember what happened in the past. Some examples of these posters are: “Julio comienza en Julio. “Machuca”, “El chacotero sentimental”, etc. If you like our Chilean movies, you have to go to there and enjoy a special exposition. This exposition will stay in constitucion’s square till next November 2nd. So if you want to go, you should go during this weekend or next week. By Carlita

Hello my friends, I hope you are having a great time and preparing all the stuffs for this National holiday here in Chile... Well, First of all I want to tell you that as I told in my show HAVE YOU EVER WATCHED IT? (every Saturday from 4pm to 6pm - The weekly Movie Show, by the way) there are new editions of two great movies and here you'll find the included scenes in the DVDs "88 Minute" and "The Godfather".

The new DVD edition of the Al Pacino's movie "88 MINUTE" has extra material of the movie. This DVD will be released on September 16th. For example, it includes a clip called "The character within: Psychological Pressure", and here you can see a little bit if that clip. Check it out!!!

"The Godfather Collection: Coppola Restoration Edition" brings very interesting scenes. This DVD will be released on September 23rd. Well, here you can watch the scenes called "Revealing the Godfather", "When the shooting stopped", "Godfather World", "Use of Color" and "The Masterpiece" (the scenes are place in the same order)

Hello, Friends... Today I want to present you the opening movies of this week, but I have to tell you that basically all this post will be dedicate to the Chilean movie "TONY MANERO". There's no doubt that this movie has been the most wanted Chilean movie of this year, so It worth being watched.

If we talk about "TONY MANERO", we have to say his movie won the "SANFIC 2008" and it had very good critic. Well, if you want to know more about this Chilean movie, here I'll present you a complete review (taken from here):

First of all I have to talk about the Chilean premier of this week. I mean "LA BUENA VIDA". This movie was directed by Andres Wood (Machuca's director). This movie contains three stories that happen one day in Santiago. One of those stories talks about the teenager pregnancy issue. Another story shows the hairdresser life who is between buying a car or paying his father's tomb. and the final story is about a musician who want to take part in the philharmonic, but he doesn't enter. so he decides to enter to Carabineros' choral society (in Spanish: Ofeón de Carabineros) in order to get his dream.

The great premier of THE DARK KNIGHT - Batman...

Hello, mates... now I'll present you the new movie that is being played this week in Chilean theatres, I mean "The Dark Knight". This movie tells the story about Batman, the dark superhero, who just wants to take revenge. I've not watched this movie yet, but I've been reading some reviews about this movie. for example there are a very good review (summary) about it. The film reunites Bale with director Christopher Nolan and takes Batman across the world in his quest to fight a growing criminal threat. Opening this week, July 10th

Hello, friends... here I'll put some trailers about the movies that you can find now on Chilean theaters. For example, you can watched the movie "Kung fu Panda", the story about a Panda called PO (Jack Black), who wants to be a Kung fu master. His dreams may come true soon, because there is a prophecy and he is the chosen one to be the next Kung Fu master.

Another good movie that you can watch is "Hancock". It's the story about a very weird Superhero who just wants to drink, go to parties and stay with women. So, he has a very bad reputation and that causes many problem in his superhero life. Due to some problems that he caused, he has to go to jail and a rehabilitation, in order to solve his problems.

Well, you can also watch the movie "Sex & the city", the story about the four new yorker friends. This is the continuation of the TV Serie, but here on the movie you'll see what happens finally with the Carrie's love story. My sister told me that it's a very good movie, because if you watched the whole TV serie, it's perfect. But if you didn't watch it, don't worry, because it's not mandatory.

For the kids you can go and watch "Wall-e", the story about a little robot, who was built hundreds years ago. It was created to clean the world and take the garbage out. One day, it meet a brand new robot called Eve and together begin a journey across the universe, in order to discover new things and have new adventures.

And finally a very good movie about a super agent, who just makes things worse. "Get smart" is the perfect mixture between action and comedy. It's almost the same story that it was used on the TV serie, but now after many years, it includes many new flavour, in order to make that this movie became a really good one.

Cubic Tragedy

want to show you a real master-piece. It's a short movie made on 2005. The Director is Ming-Yuan Chuan and the writer is Chuang-Wang Sun. This very good short movie animated is called "Cubic Tragedy".

This is the story about a girl who will have a date and she tries to make herself look good. So, she uses a very new and strange machine, but in the end the things go from bad to worse. Well, now watch this short movie, because you won't regret watching it. (The user Digbomb uploaded this video, thank you)

This short movie won the Siggraph award, and they made a summary better than mine: "A polygonian girl tried to make herself prettier by using her new cosmetic tools (for polygon modeling of course), and by doing so accidentally ruined her own face. This tragedy may have inspired one of the world's most famous paintings". You can see the original page HERE.
